Malice at the Palace

Even the worst moments can transform into the most cherished memories. As time passes, news ages into history: Sometimes, this takes 19 years. For better or worse, it's always nostalgic to reminisce on the good old days.

• The first pair of sample shoes was gifted to the Detroit "cup thrower" on August 21, 2023.

• The second pair of sample shoes was gifted to Ron Artest (Metta Sandiford-Artest) on September 13, 2023.

• The colorway was inspired by 2004 heritage basketball.

• The embroidered numbers on the heels pay tribute to the best defensive players in that era.

• The number on the right insole represents the date. The numbers on the left insole represent the time left on the clock and the scores.

• A debossed 2004 blue cup is printed on the left shoe tongue as a nostalgic symbol.

• DIZYGOTIC released its own editorial 'Fraternal Twin Daily Sun' newspaper which has absolutely nothing to do with this release. It is sold separately for 69 cents.

• The shoe will be released on the 19th anniversary of Malice at the Palace.

Project Alpha 'Malice at the Palace' features a premium full-grain pigskin suede and top-grain leather upper, with a perforated suede toe box and number embroideries on the heels. The pair features a mismatched color design and an asymmetrical design on the lateral and medial sides. The insoles also boast memory foam lining and a 2004 story printed on both insoles. Strobel boards above the midsoles come with mismatched logo prints. Mismatched color Vibram mega-grip outsoles provide additional stability and durability. Each pair is handmade in Nectar Lab instead of an assembly line.​
